Beef Stew!!

Beef Stew

The cold brings out the best soups and stews season...Brrrrrrr! My beef stew is delicious full of flavor and low in calories. Can't beat that with a stick...

I usually use beef chuck roast and cut it up myself because buying stew meat costs more because of the convenience of it being cut up. 

Ingredients:
Yukon Gold Potatoes 1 to 2 lbs peeled and quartered
Celery 1 pkg. washed and quarter. ( Do not use the ends or the leaves in stew it will sour it.)
Carrots ( Pre- Boil ) so they are 1/2 ...

Beef Broth Stew by Chef Gianna

What makes really good stew?
Some say it is the stock
Others the seasonings
Still some insist it is the meat

I say it is all and just a little more.
When making a pot of stew you have to know what you feel like putting in it.
Sometimes I put celery, and potatoes, and a creamy beef gravy.
Other times I will make a broth base stock add green beans carrots, broccoli, and onions, and even mushrooms.

Then there is the uncanny way we all put our ingredients together.

Hearty Stews & Soups!

Cold weather, makes us do layering.
In the food business it makes us start thinking about Hearty Warm Meals!

The one I have pictures of above is a Italian Chicken Stew served over Bow-tie  Garlic Pasta.
Made with a Red wine red sauce and lots and lots of chicken, carrots, and celery this one served with my crusty bread is a Winner!

It is high in flavor, fiber, anti-oxidants, vitamins, and very LOW in CALORIES....!

I usually put some grated Parmesan Cheese on top to add to the deliciousnes...

This is the only way to make good food says Chef Gianna, and good food is what Divadish is all about.

The picture above is just one of those small batched soups that comes out of our kitchens.
Chef Gianna likes to call it one of her Masterpieces, because it is not a watery, thinned down version of what other resturants tell you is soup.
