Brandy BBQ Sandwich!!!!!

Brandy BBQ!!

Fall is now in our shadows and daylight savings is Sunday, sooooooo? what do we do now....? I have a simple solution let's head back to our kitchens and start cooking again... !

Colder weather brings out the best foods, soups, stews, BBQ meats, Pulled Meats with glazes, Turkey, the list is endless.

I love creating new flavors and new seasoning combinations, and Winter brings out my what if thinking, and since it is cold and windy out it just ramps up I am staying inside today...

Greek Chicken

Who's Loves Chicken? 

It probably is one of the most versatile meat on our grocer's shelves. 

Here are some meals that come to mind.

  • Stir-fry and seasoned rice

  • Ginger Sauce & Apricots with Chicken fried rice and pea pods

  • Seared Greek Chicken with Rosemary seasoned red potatoes
  • Grilled chicken with a Brandy or Rum Marinade
  • Italian Breaded Chicken (Baked or in Red or White Sauce)
  • Chicken 
    Chili
  • Pan fried chicken with sweet bell peppers and onions
See what I mean you can do anything with that ...

Seared Chicken

Chicken is such a versatile food that goes with just about any side dish too.This dish pictured I fixed with a side of honey carrots, it was a nice combo meal and was very satisfying.

Searing meats is something that has been done mostly by restaurants boasting that they have the secret to keeping your meats juicy and tasty.

How do you sear your meats? well it takes a heavy frying pan, preferably a Food Safe pan because these can take the heat and hold it too which is important for...

How do you spell Orgasmic? or maybe a better question is how would something taste with that description. What comes to my mind is Awesomeness x a 1,000!!!! Good food is not a rare thing, is it? by the TV commercials you see today one would think so....

I swear every other commercial is for Jenny Craig with the now skinny Marie Osmond, OMG, she looks great but really she is hawking for Jenny Craig? What gives, except $$$ for her checkbook. Then the next ad is for...

Brandy Seared T Bone Steak

Divadish Loves good meat and preferably fixed Med-Rare, Yum.... Good organic farmed raised Beef can be eaten a little rare because it is so sweet and soft anyway because of how the cattle are being fed and grazed, it does make a BIG DIFFERENCE, just ask a cattleman or a qualified butcher. A Great meal starts with Great Meat! So when my daughter asks for Meat with a side of Meat I know what she feels like.. it is usually a steak... What else. ?!

Berry-Wine Chicken & Parmesean Potatoes

Divadish Loves too cook with Wines... Why,, because you can sip a little out of the bottle too!!! Just kidding......!

No, really, the taste that wines add to the flavors of meats, soups, sauces, and salad dressings, is Phenomenal!!!
Combine all of that with special blends of seasoning and you have a Winner each and every time.
The above picture is just one particular winner.
I marinated (4) chicken thighs over night in a semi-sweet berry wine & lime juice, with my special blends of season...

Comfort Food:
Whole grain rice, flank steak,edamame (soybeans) and a little fire added to round out this yummy dish.
When I plan my evening dinners I always , always spice things up a notch.
Why?
Because the heat of spices are very good for your body.
How?
It breaks down our cholesterol,and buildups in our arteries.
It also adds flavor and we use less salt because it is not needed.
