Cooking and creating new recipes has always been in my blood and I find myself doing it in my head when I see something I like but want to change it up a bit to make ...

Divadish's Original Recipe Chicken Potpie!

I remember when Marie Calender's Frozen potpie's use to me my family's go to when no one wanted to take the time to make it from scratch.Well all that has changed and so has Marie's too. Along with it's home made taste.

So if I want Chicken Pot Pie I make it my way, with a creamy chicken gravy, fresh green beans, corn, peas, and sometime carrots. Loaded with chunks of organic chicken and a buttery crust that makes you want to put on your stretch pants ...

The Greek's Chicken

Alexander's Greek Chicken!

Alexander's Greek Chicken
I named this chicken dish after my father,
Alexander Harry Ianos.
Or as he liked to call himself
"Alexander the Great "

He was very proud of his heritage, and often told people he had ancestral roots to the great Kings of Greece.
Well I know we had Spartan blood in our veins, because if you disagreed with him
there was definitely sparks, swords, and tempers all over the place!
Yes he was a male Diva in the kitchen but his food ...

Spring is Coming!?

As our days get longer, and the Earth is getting warmer, it won't be too much longer for the Robins, the buds on the trees, and green grass to comeback!
Oh God, I hope so, it has been a very, very long Winter.

As a transplan...

Just like my Great-Grandma used to make, except better, because I put more delicious ingredients in it.. Times were tough over 100+ years ago...! Big Chunks of Chicken, loads of veggies, creamy chicken gravy slowed cooked over a 10+ hours, gives you one smooth tasting Chicken/Soup. I usually add the egg noodles after everything is all cooked and flavors are completely blended.
With the cold snap hitting this weekend this will definitely be a winner with my family.
