MEDITERRANEAN EATING LIFESTYLE

                                                                         Dill Egg Salad Sandwich 

 Mediterranean heart Healthy Diet is:
Mayo Clinic reports that fresh, no preservatives, no high fructose sugars, artificial sweeteners  saturated fats, lean proteins, fish, dark leafy vegetables, fruits, nuts.

Oils: Vegetable, Olive, Grape Seed, Canola
Butter, No Hydrogenated Margarine,or any emulsified fats, pure can sugars, honeys, molasses, natural sweeteners, (not man -made) eating a diet with these guidelines has proven beneficial to a healthy life, with a decrease in the following diseases.
Diabetes, Alzheimer, Parkinson's, Dementia, Obesity, Cancer, Heart .

This is a Eating Lifestyle to be continued for all your meals and snacks.
A normal plate of food should have app 30% lean proteins & 70% Fruits & Vegetables.
Eating this way keeps your arteries clean and plaque free, your colon and digestive tracts clean and flowing, your kidneys functioning at top performance and your heart beating at a healthy and efficient rate.

All of my menus, snacks, meals, and desserts are prepared this way, so this is my total way of cooking for everything I do.

You can eat healthy delicious food everyday, and not feel starved!!!
I eat full calorie food but am aware of my portion sizes, and also my activity level. All of this and also the quality of food and quantity play a important role in how your body processes your intakes.

Remember when the Old Food saying was a little of all the food groups, well it wasn't all  Crap food then like we are subjected to on our TV's 24/7 or Fast Food addictions , or Microwave Havens either. We actually had to take the time to drag out a pan or two and cook something for our selves.

We all know that if we can microwave something in 5 minutes or less and it has a shelf Life of (1) year, it can't be all that good for us.!

Now I do not want to discount homemade frozen meals or our own homemade leftovers that we put into freezer containers or bags for a later on meal or meals for ourselves. These have nutritional value and are filling and satisfying to our bodies and keep us from snacking 15 minutes after we just consumed one of those Wonderful Microwave Meals!
