Healthy ways to avoid Holiday Blues!

 Anxiety, depression, overwhelmed feelings can affect all of us but especially during the holidays when we are adding extra activities to our schedules. Parties, shopping, meal planning, where is there anytime for you?


Take time for exercise especially during times of stress. This will help with your mood, keep your body and your spirit lifted and feeling at it's best.15-20 minutes of brisk walking will do it, so get the leash and take Fido for a walk, No Fido call a friend or just take yourself for a walk with your I tunes you will feel the difference and thank yourself for it later!


Talk to someone: It helps to discuss these feelings with a friend, partner or a specialist, do not avoid the Elephant in the room, it may be trying to crush you!

Finally add the last piece to taking care of yourself, good nutrition. Food plays a huge role on how you are able to deal with problems. If you are not feeding your body properly how can you expect to have the energy to think clearly, be active and be Happy. It takes food to do all of those things, so take the time to take care of yourself, you will feel better, look better and feel more in the holiday mood to sing along to the beautiful Christmas songs at your local church or school plays. 

Mental Health , is part of who we are, be active in your own Life and take care of YOU! You are WORTH IT....
